Why didn't they hire a designer for the medal? 
I collected my running kit (a running bib, a Mizuno dri-science T & 30% Mizuno discount voucher) this morning from Bukit Aman. Here’s a peek at the medal all runners will be getting once completing the run. Doesn't it look plain?
