Where? Central Park, 1-Utama.

How far? 2km only.

Who? Hosted by 3R - Tini, Celina & Rafidah.

Hundreds of women and men took the street @ Bandar Utamaon Saturday to celebrete International Women's Day.

Whistles anyone?

Whistles sound filled the air that day. It is symbolic tool in raising awareness, to draw attention, to take control and to be alert!

Many came dressed up for the occasions, including these wimmins in yellow!

The 3R Hosts - Tini, Rafidah & Celina.

The International Women's Day is not celebrated by women alone. Men and childrens are welcome too!

I spotted Elizabeth Wong in the crowd.

Many came and supported this event by walking with the 3R hosts in solidarity with women and girls in Malaysia and around the world.

This year’s theme is "Equal rights, equal opportunities: Progress for all”.

Such a wonderful boyfriend, don't cha think? Heheh!

Each year on 8 March, hundreds of International Women's Day events occur all around the world. Since 8 March was a Monday, 3R "deferred" the celebration to Saturday. :)

Yeah! Real men respect their women!

Men have equal rights to wear skirts like women too. LOL!

Mummy's boy!

After the walk, participants were seen chilling out at the Treadszoo Bazaar. Also checking out many of the booths by UNICEF, the All Women’s Action Movement, Sisters in Islam and the Women’s Aid Organisation.

Entertainment was provided by Dayang Nurfaizah, Lah Ahmad, Aizat, Vince Chong, Azlan and the Typewriter and many more!

Dayang Nurfaizah is no stranger to event like this. She belted two songs for the occasion.

This is Azlan, formerly with Meet Uncle Hussain, now he is just Azlan & The Typewriter.

Vince Chong serenaded all the women in the crowd. (Insert swoon here)

The Goodie Bag.

Here's the video summary of the event, from start to end. No soundtrack on this video unlike my other videos because I want the whistles to be heard loud and clear! :)

ENJOY!

"Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities, Progress For All"

The performance videos will be posted tomorrow. Please come back for updates!
