Press Release: PUMA goes beyond with PUMA Night Run 2014!
Kuala Lumpur ( 3 October 2014) – There’s a new breed of running event hitting Asia and it’s the PUMA Night Run at the forefront, engaging the public as never before with an atmospheric night run on the 25 October, 2014.
Following successful runs in Seoul and Taiwan, PUMA brings this experience to Malaysia for the first 3,000 runners who sign-up before the closing date 30th September 2014.
The PUMA Night Run is a fusion of fitness together with fun. The run encourages participants to be fit and active but in a non-tensed atmosphere unlike most runs that are very competitive and intense. This run encourages runners to experience the joy of running and to work hard in completing this night course.
The Setia Alam Convention Centre in Selangor will be the venue for the Night Run.
The Night Run is a custom-designed run spanning across 10KM around Setia Alam and climaxing with a bang to end the night with special performances from various local artist such as DJ Anowl, and many more.
Participants can also expect special elements, like the running route, and also a big bunch of top celebrity trainers that will be running for this event as well.
Setia Alam is said to be one of the best locations for the PUMA Night Run this time around due to its beautifully planned and designed infrastructures an environment. This place comes with good security and the roads vary in inclination which leads to a more exciting run.
“The PUMA Night Run practically sums up everything about PUMA. Being brave, determined, confident and joyful defines PUMA,” said Tim Tham, Assistant Marketing Manager of PUMA Malaysia.
“I am confident that this PUMA Night Run brings out the best in each runner that will be taking part this October.”
PUMA recently introduced a brand new club which is the PUMA Night Cat Club specially designed to train runners for the upcoming Night Run. This six weeks programme includes different elements and different strategies in improving and achieving better results in completing the 10km run.
Members can now look forward to achieving their goals as the programme comprises of a mix of progressive runs, running specific workouts, conditioning, track trainings, core training and long runs.
The surprise just does not end here! PUMA will also be launching their new night running kit on 1 October, 2014 which comprises of the running jacket, and a running shoe.
The champions of both men and women categories in the PUMA Night Run will receive RM2,500 PUMA vouchers and Power Bar goodies bag; second-placed runners are entitled to RM1,500 PUMA vouchers and Power Bar goodies bag while RM500 PUMA vouchers will be given to the third-placed runners together with Power Bar goodies bag.
All runners who have registered for the PUMA Night Run will also receive a race t-shirt, race-bib with timing chip, finishers’ medal, race goodies bag, neck towel, race pouch and PUMA vouchers.
The “PUMA Red Wall” will be brought down to Setia Alam to push participants to their limits. This four-metre warped wall is brings out all the elements needed for a person to succeed in this challenge. Brave, Bold, Determined and Confident is the only way to conquer this challenge.
PUMA wants to send a core message to all runners out there in Malaysia that everyone can enjoy a natural event that emphasises fun, together with fitness that engages with a healthy living.
NOTE: PUMA Night Run registration has been closed due to overwhelming response. All slots were sold out in three days after the opening of registration.
