Press Release: Triple Pte. Ltd. Set To Launch The UNDER ARMOUR Brand In Malaysia



Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (10 December 2014) – Triple Pte. Ltd. is ready to make waves in Malaysia come 2015 by opening the first store of American sports label Under Armour, the leading global developer and manufacturer of performance footwear and apparel. The first location will open at KL’s leading landmark and shopping destination – Suria KLCC.

Driven by its vision of empowering athletes everywhere and to make all athletes better, Under Armour is the fastest growing sports performance brand in the world. It has surpassed the USD 2 billion revenue mark in 2013 and is looking to hit global revenues of USD 10 billion by 2020.

Globally recognized for its product innovation and technology in sports apparel has earned Under Armour the trust and friendship of top international athletes such as Olympian swimmer Michael Phelps, ballerina Misty Copeland and NBA player Stephen Curry.

The brand launch in Malaysia marks the 6 brand store opening in the region with existing stores in Singapore and Philippines through exclusive distributor, Triple Pte. Ltd. Triple is a newly established venture by three entrepreneurs in the brand, retail and e-commerce business with more than 40 years of combined experience under their belt with a deep understanding of the sports retail industry from their years of experience.



Triple will focus the Under Armour product offering in Malaysia on a vast range of sporting apparel for both men and women, including innovative UA technology such as HeatGear, Sonic, HeatGear, Flyweight, coldblack , UA Tech™ and Compression range. The women’s range includes training, running, UA’s studio line, UA studio and UA StudioLux and the Armour Bra powered by Under Armour. The menswear includes men’s training, base layers, combine training, running and footwear.

Golfers can look forward to the Under Armour Spring/Summer 2015 Golf Collection available exclusively at MST Golf outlets. The collection will be available only at MST Golf outlets in Malaysia starting January 2015, featuring the brand’s revolutionary coldblack technology that protects the skin by reflecting infrared rays to keep athletes cool under the sun.
