PUMA TRAIN 24seven MALAYSIA – The First of its Kind Fitness Event



Kuala Lumpur, 17 November 2018 – For the first time in Malaysia, global sports brand PUMA introduced a very unique training event combining nine different curated workout routines – each comprising of three intensive sessions – under one roof.



PUMA Train 24seven was PUMA’s biggest fitness event in Malaysia with more than 1,000 fitness enthusiasts, celebrities and social media influencers joining the event at the Kenanga Star Expo, Kuala Lumpur, for a full day of intensive exercise.


The full day street-inspired training event, organised as a component of PUMA’s year-long '24/7' campaign, aims to redefine PUMA’s performance philosophy at a time when workouts are no longer perceived to be restricted to the gym. From 10am up till 10pm, the atmosphere was filled with pumped-up tunes as participants were encouraged to push, power, and party throughout the day.


The event hall was separated into several thematic zones. The three core segments – Persistence, Pace, and Power – were located at three sides of the room respectively, while the heart of the event hall was occupied with a plethora of fitness and lifestyle vendors. Upon registration, participants received a training pack comprising an event-exclusive PUMA tote bag, a PUMA training tee, a versatile resistance band and other assorted goodies from event sponsors.


Staying true to the notion that the body achieves what the mind believes, the activities under the theme of Persistence were designed to test the participants’ willpower. These were Power Yoga, conducted by Charmaine; Resistance Band Training led by Jean; and ZUU Movement by fitness guru Stephen Thompson. Each routine challenged participants to put their muscular endurance and strength to the test on different levels.


Nothing defined speed and agility quite like the sessions under the Pace pillar. These heart-thumping classes were all about high intensity and non-stop movements. Rhythmic Boxing by TRIBE Boxing; Jumping® – conducted on specially developed Jumping® PROFI trampolines; and Glow Dance, choreographed by Faith Rundi, all left participants sweating with satisfaction.

Tailored for the energetic crowd, the theme Power challenged the participants’ determination through a series of muscle building and body strengthening routines, namely POP Pilates, by Chloe; MOVE, instructed by Ministry of Burn; and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), guided by Ain Ramli.


Participants managed to have their limits tested and truly experienced their muscles being stretched, especially on parts of their bodies that they did not expect.

Aside from fitness classes led by competent trainers, there were also a lot of fun activities onsite with nail arts, airbrush tattoos, arcade boxing machine, and a high striker hammer game, keeping participants entertained throughout the day. A lucky draw session also took place offering exciting prizes such as PUMA sportswear to lucky winners.

“This is the first time we are organising a fitness event of this scale in Malaysia and it was truly inspiring to see the response, eagerness and energy showed by the participants today.

“The fitness fraternity in the country is ever-growing and we will definitely work on this success to organise similar events in future,” stated Tim Tham, PUMA’s Southeast Asia Marketing Manager.


The night concluded with an exciting after-party as prominent local singer Kaka Azraff took the stage by storm with her electrifying rendition of Major Lazer’s ‘Lean On’ and her hit single ‘Sibuk’. Her performance was then followed by a DJ set from DJ Mizz Kiya, who kept the crowd on their feet with her infectious beats and ended the night on a high note for the participants.

The local leg of PUMA Train 24seven in Malaysia was organised in support of sponsors such as Gatorade, JuiceWorks, Rexona, Benefit Cosmetics and Murad. Spearheaded by F1 Wold Champion and brand ambassador, Lewis Hamilton, PUMA’s 24/7 campaign has been a huge hit among fitness fans around the world as it motivates people to see exercise as part of lifestyle and encourage them to always keep pushing their limits.
