Skechers Friendship Walk 2022 Made Its Return After Pandemic With A Rainbow!

It wouldn't be a Friendship Walk if you don't go with your friends, Thanks Ikhsan, Nina & Nizan for joining me!

It was my first time joining the Skechers Friendship Walk. This year, it was held at the PIAZZA, Level 3 of the newly opened Pavilion Bukit Jalil on 30 October.

More than 3000 participants, including young kids and old folks joined this event which was launched in conjunction with the release of Skechers Max Cushioning Collection.

It was raining quite heavily on the way to the venue. Thank goodness, there is a roof over the Piazza and the rain subsided when it was time for flag off.  

After the warm session, a short speech by Zann Lee, Managing Director of Skechers SEA and a cheerleading performance, we were flagged off at around 7am.

"Today will be a great time for you to bond with your loved ones--whether your friends or family members--who are here together with you." - Zann Lee, Managing Director of Skechers SEA. 

The 5km route  took us around the residential areas nearby Pavilion Bukit Jalil and then into the Taman Rekreasi Bukit Jalil before heading back to the start/ finish line.

 On our way back, we spotted a huge rainbow in the sky! 

"If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain." - Dolly Parton

In life, if we want something desirable, we have to deal with the undesirable as well. Always look at the bright side of things!

Huff! Huff! One more km to go! And there's the rainbow again!

My friends enjoyed the walk. The event was more laid-back compared to the other competitive road races. Everybody out there was having fun!

Accompanied by the announcement of Skechers Malaysia Brand Ambassador, Ayda Jebat, the event was filled with the joy of friends and families as they participated in various fun activities such as Human Foosball, Slam Dunk, Step Challenge, Bungee Run and more.

One lucky winner of the Skechers Friendship Walk 2022 took home a pair of Max Cushioning Shoe and a set of performance wear.

Overall, Skechers Friendship Walk 2022 was a fun-filled event for families and friends.  The rain had brought the rainbow - which is a good sign! After two years being restricted by the pandemic, we are finally seeing a better tomorrow ahead!
