Lace Up and Get Active: LAC x Total Running Club Beginner Workshop Recap!

This past Sunday, I had the amazing opportunity to participate in the LAC x Total Running Club Beginner Workshop, held right here in Kuala Lumpur! This exclusive event, co-hosted by LAC Malaysia and led by experienced coach Jeffery Ross of Total Running Club, was all about getting people moving and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

Jeffrey Ross, an Experienced Runner and Coach from Total Running Club and Cynthia Jetan, a Certified Nutritionist from LAC Malaysia (Custom)

As April is World Health Day, the focus was on encouraging folks to take that first step towards a fitter future. Let me tell you, it was a fantastic morning filled with informative talks, easy-to-follow running drills, and a great sense of community.

Here's a quick rundown of the event:

The Rundown:

The workshop kicked off at 7:00 AM at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil (in front of the Keris Sculpture). Participants trickled in sporting their best athletic wear, ready to embrace the morning and learn some new running tips. After a quick registration process, we were welcomed by the organizers and introduced to Coach Jeffery Ross, who radiated enthusiasm and expertise.

Following a brief but informative talk about the benefits of running and how to get started, we delved straight into the warm-up. Coach Ross led us through a series of dynamic stretches that got our bodies nice and loose, prepping us for the running portion of the workshop.

Now, for the fun part! We transitioned into a running workout that incorporated speedwork and fartlek training (don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds!). Coach Ross expertly guided us through each step, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and challenged at their own pace.

After a productive run session, we cooled down with some static stretches, a perfect way to wind down and prevent any post-workout soreness.

The Finish Line:

The workshop concluded with refreshments, a group photo to commemorate the event, and the distribution of awesome goodie bags. It was a fantastic way to end the morning, leaving everyone feeling energized, informed, and ready to conquer their next run!

The supplement:

We all received this LAC product in our goodies bag.

LAC’s Activated ZHI (Energy) is a potent blend designed for active people and contains traditional Chinese herbs Lingzhi and Cordyceps. It boasts increased energy, muscle recovery, and endurance through vitamins, amino acids, and other nutrients. Take up to 3 sticks daily for maximum benefit.

My Thoughts:

Whether you're a complete beginner or someone looking to brush up on your running fundamentals, this workshop was an absolute win. The atmosphere was friendly and supportive, and Coach Ross did a fantastic job of making everything accessible and engaging.

Looking to get started running? If you missed this workshop, don't worry! Keep an eye out for future events organized by LAC Malaysia and Total Running Club. There are also tons of resources available online to help you on your running journey.

So, lace up your shoes, hit the pavement, and happy running!
