Kuala Lumpur, 30 November 2025 – The Kuala Lumpur Tower once again proved itself as the beating heart of vertical sports when more than 2,000 runners from 30 countries conquered the Turkish Airlines Kuala Lumpur Tower Run International Challenge 2025 (KLTRIC2025). The climb – 1,608 steps to the summit – was a true showcase of global strength and Malaysian pride.
This year’s edition drew athletes from Japan, China, Turkey, Germany, the UK, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the United States, reinforcing Kuala Lumpur Tower’s reputation as a premier destination for towerrunning and sports tourism in Southeast Asia. With the bold theme “Victory is Vertical”, KLTRIC2025 highlighted Malaysia’s rising prominence in the global towerrunning circuit, aligning with national efforts to boost sports tourism ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.

Looking Ahead to KLTRIC2026
Organisers have confirmed that the next edition, KLTRIC2026, will take place on 14 June 2026 at Kuala Lumpur Tower. Strategically timed to support Visit Malaysia 2026, the event is expected to attract even more international athletes and further cement Malaysia’s position on the global sports tourism map.
