My Loot from HMV and Gramophone Posted by Picasa

After watching SAW III at Cathay Cineleisure, we went shopping for CDs. Managed to grab a copy of Janet's 20 YO, limited packaging (comes in a gold box with a mini pictorial and and extra DVD) from Gramophone. More dent to the wallet when we raided HMV.

Dinner @ People's Park, Chinatown Posted by Picasa

We had dinner at People's Park. There we met with a bunch of PMs stuffing their faces too. Heheh! Grabbed a quick bite and went to the bakery to buy something for the breakfast. Slept early after taking my medicine. It is no fun being sick. (Insert sad face here).

Impossible Is Nothing Posted by Picasa

I woke up feeling fine even though with a slight temperature. I told myself that I was going for it anyway. Furthermore, there was no time limit. So, I could take my own sweet time to finish the run. Impossible is nothing, right?

Woo..Hoo...Feel The Euphoria Posted by Picasa

BW, John, KK and I took a cab to the starting point from Chinatown. It cost us less than SGD5. What amused us was the driver's tendency to blurt out expletives as fast as bullet. (Don't ask)

Anyway, we arrived safely at the Esplanade area. I was impressed with toilet facility here! So many portable toilets. Could be hundreds of them. (Thumb up to the organiser). Later in the run, I noticed that that there were at least 2 portable toilets at each water station. I think the organiser had too prepare for it or risk "flash flood" everywhere.

There marathoners were set off at 6:00am while we half-er had to wait another 30 minutes. I was feeling excited and worried at the same time. Cold sweat started to pour out from my pores.

Notice the barricade on the right tunnel? It didn't stop the runners from rushing in... Posted by Picasa

I started off at snail pace, fearing to over exert myself. The music was playing. The crowd was cheering. What a great morning to be sick!!!

The route took us to familiar places. No major change of route. I stop a few times to take pictures of runners rushing into the tunnel. It was kinda surreal. It was like a wave of runners filling up the tunnel. I can't really get that effect with my idiot point and shoot camera though.

I Felt Like Time Stood Still When I Stopped In The Middle of the Tunnel To Take This Picture. Posted by Picasa

Here comes Lady Ice!! Going Strong! Posted by Picasa

I encountered a few interesting runners in SCSM 2006. One of them is Lady Ice. It was hard not to spot her during the course as you can see from the picture. Her message was strong! Recycling! I really salute her running for a cause. (Insert thunderous applause here)
