Nigel Barker's Beauty Equation Book Signing @ Kinokuniya, Suria KLCC

I am not as lucky as Tian Chad (www.tianchad.com) who won an exclusive invite to attend a photography workshop by the renowned photographer, Nigel Barker. So, I had to queue up like other autograph junkies out there to meet THE Nigel Barker of The America's Top Model at Kinokuniya Bookstore just now.

Nigel Barker is in town to promote his book, Beauty Equation and to conduct several photography workshops in Langkawi & KL.

I bought my book there and then. 20% discount with another purchase. So. I grabbed a piece of postcard with the book.

And I even had it plastic wrapped by the Kino staff while waiting for the arrival of Nigel. P/S It will only cost you RM1 per book to get it wrapped.

Nigel arrived around 5:15pm. Wow! He is a very tall and handsome man; looking as if he had just stepped out of a GQ photoshoot, him being the model, not the photographer!

A quick address to the fans out there....

I got his autograph, took a Facebook profile photo with him and even had a small talk with Nigel while he was signing the book. The whole thing was not rushed and no screaming teenagers around unlike any other autograph session I have attended before. LOL!

I wonder when will Tyra Banks come to Malaysia? Heheh!

Meet The Stars of "I Love Wing Chun" 笑詠春 @ Sg. Wang Plaza

Hong Kong veteran actors, Yuen Wah and Yuen Qiu are in town to promote their latest action comedy film called I Love Wing Chun.

I Love Wing Chun was filmed in Malaysia and directed by Lex Choi Lik. The main cast includes Yuen Wah, Yuen Qiu, Nat Chan, Tian Liang, Gan Mei Yan, Jeff Chin, Royce Tan, Vivian Tok and Angel Wong.

Joining them are a few of Malaysia very own supporting actors in the movie - Amber Chia, Kelly Jagan and ??? (Oops! Sorry, I have no idea who he is. Help anyone?)

The film revolves around a young man raised by a couple who incorporate kung fu into his everyday life without him knowing it. When a businessman invites the young man to Kuala Lumpur, all hell breaks loose as mistaken identities misundertandings, and unexpected incidents - Wing Chun style - turn the man's life into one insane journey.

And check out Ashton, Amber Chia's boy.

Ashton is in love with the microphone. LOL!

I think when ashton grows up, he will be a singer or an emcee or maybe a politician. Heheh!

Amber Chia told us jokingly that her body is more "voluptious" in the movie because it was shot not long after she has given birth to Ashton. So, her cup size was bigger! LOL!

So if you guys wanna see a fuller Amber, go check out I Love Wing Chun!

There was a memory game played with some lucky fans who turned up for the event.

Kelly Jagan is trying to recite the everything Wing Chun items from Wing Chun Chicken Rice and Wing Chun Bah Kut Teh, to even Wing Chun Mahjong. LOL!

Group pic with rep from Tomei, one of the sponsors of the movie.

Check out the hilarious trailer below!

I Love Wing Chun will hit the cinema nationwide on 28 July 2011.

(Photos) Juvana TV3 Drama Launch @ Sekolah Henry Gurney, Melaka

Yesterday marked the end of Juvana TV Series on TV3. To celebrate the finale, I thought I would share some never seen before photos during the drama launch mid April this year. The launch took place in the high security juvenile prison, Henry Gurney School in Melaka. It is a pretty odd but highly appropriate place to have the launch of the drama since the series is all about young boys being punished for their crimes.

FYI, the Henry Gurney School is the largest juvenile reform school in the country, with some 300 inmates.

This series started 25 April 2011, every Monday 9.00pm and had garnered millions of viewers. We were told the final episode reached 4.2 million viewership! An impressive figure, we must say!

Before entering the compound of the school, we had to keep our wallets, mobile phones, cigarettes in the lockers these item are not permitted to be brought in. But since we were part of the media, we were allowed to bring in our cameras, with a condition - we were not allowed to snap pics of the students.

The launch took place in the Parameswara Hall. We were seated in front of the students in a packed hall.

After speeches and all, a short skit from the drama was acted out by the cast.

Izreen Azminda played a counsellor to the students.

Uprising actor, Zahiril Adzim played Daim the lead character in the show. He was accused of killing his mother and her boyfriend.

Drama Band singing the theme song from the drama and also a cover of Stacie's Jahat! How appropriate. Jahat..heheh!

JUVANA is produced by Filmscape with collaboration by producer Kabir Bhatia, director Faisal Ishak and script writer Alfie Palermo.

It starred fantastic actors like Bront Palarea, winner of best actor in the Anugerah Skrin 2010; Zahiril Adzim, Izreen Azminda, Irfan Roslan, Beto Khusairy, Kuswadinata, Hariry with new faces like Johan Ariff, Syazwan Zulkifly, Wan Atiqa Farhana, Adam Shah, Khairul Mohamed, Syukri Yahaya, Riki Rikando, Idzham Ismail, Helmi and Talha Harith.

There was even a motivational talk...

It was an eye-opening visit for me to the infamous school.

After the launched, we were treated to ikan bakar at Muara Sungai Duyung. Thanks TV3!

For those who had missed the series, you can still watch it at your own leisure at www.tonton.com.my.
