LEGOLAND® has always been one of my favourite theme parks in Malaysia. There’s something magical about walking through its colourful gates – the endless LEGO® creations, the rides, and of course, the LEGOLAND® Hotel that never fails to impress me.

Where imagination comes alive – welcome to the world of LEGO® adventures!

But this trip? It was extra special. I headed down to Iskandar Puteri to witness the grand launch of the Garden of Prosperity, a vibrant celebration welcoming the Year of the Horse in the most "brick-tastic" way possible!

Family fun doesn’t stop at the park – it continues in every corner of the LEGOLAND® Hotel.

We set off bright and early at 7:00am on a double-decker coach from Berjaya Times Square. By the time we reached Iskandar Puteri around 1pm, the excitement was already building. Official check-in time was 4pm, but luck was on my side – my room was ready.

And not just any room – I got the Pirate Premium Themed Room. Imagine stepping into Captain Brickbeard’s cabin, complete with hidden treasure clues, LEGO® models, and a separate sleeping area for kids. With a king-sized bed and a bunk bed with trundle, it was perfect for a family of five.

After dropping our bags, I headed to the Asian Deli for a steaming bowl of ramen—the ultimate comfort food to prep for a busy afternoon.

After a quick bowl of soothing ramen at the Asian Deli, I wandered towards the Chinese New Year area near the entrance.

Walking toward the entrance, the festive transformation was breathtaking. The theme park was awash in glowing red lanterns and delicate cherry blossoms.

The first thing that greeted me was a majestic 2.4-metre LEGO® Horse centrepiece, inspired by the LEGO 40779 Year of the Horse Chinese Zodiac Limited Edition set. Carrying an auspicious scroll of blessings, it stood tall as a symbol of strength, renewal, and good fortune – and yes, it was the ultimate photo spot.

Inspired by the LEGO 40779 Year of the Horse set, this massive build featured a majestic horse carrying an auspicious scroll. It’s a stunning symbol of strength and renewal, and naturally, the line for photos was buzzing!

The entire resort had been transformed into a vibrant playground of glowing red lanterns, blooming cherry blossoms, and immersive LEGO® artistry.

At 4pm, the launch began with the rhythmic beats of drums, energetic dances, and a speech by CS Lim, VP of LEGOLAND® Malaysia. The highlight was the lion dance performance, followed by the tossing of oranges into the crowd – a gesture of luck and prosperity.

Once the formalities ended, we were free to explore the activities. My favourites included:

With the drums still ringing in our ears, we made our way to The Market for an early dinner treat—the perfect way to wind down after an exciting afternoon!

From authentic local favorites to international delights, there was something for everyone. The absolute star of the show? Their special signature spaghetti, which lived up to the hype and then some!

Prosperity wasn’t just symbolic – it extended to rewards. Guests spending RM188 or more could win LEGO® sets worth up to RM800, with total prizes valued at RM10,000.
