‘Garmin Celebrates Lokal’ Champions The Malaysian Spirit Through Art, Movement and Community

Kuala Lumpur, 12 August 2026 – In conjunction with the upcoming Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations, Garmin Malaysia has launched Garmin Celebrates Lokal, a new campaign spotlighting the people, creativity, and vibrant experiences that make Malaysia unique.

Blending local artistry, the power of community, and Garmin’s dedication to healthy living, the initiative encourages Malaysians to embrace staying active in their own “lokal” way—whether through daily routines, outdoor adventures, or simple everyday movement.

Creative Collaboration: Garmin x Izzati Suza

At the heart of the campaign is a partnership with self-taught Malaysian artist Izzati Suza. Known for her bold, doodle-inspired illustrations, her work captures the charm of everyday Malaysian life through humor, color, and authenticity. Fusing pop art, caricatures, and cultural elements, her artwork reflects themes of identity and familiar local moments.
