Aaron Aziz As Dr. Mahathir; Erra Fazira Reprises Role in Muzikal Dr. Siti Hasmah @ Istana Budaya

Wow! Great news to the fans of Aaron Aziz and Erra Fazira. These two great actors will be back to Istana Budaya for a musical next year! This was announced at the launching of Istana Budaya's 2012 Program this morning.

They played a troubled husband and wife pair in Badai Semalam last November.

Erra Fazira will be reprising her role of Dr. Siti Hasmah, wifey to our former PM, Dr. M. in Muzikal Dr. Siti Hasmah. This will be the first time Aaron Aziz taking on the former prime minister role.

How will Aaron stack up to Esma Daniel who is known for his outstanding potrayal of Dr. M in Muzikal Dr. Mahathir Season 1 and 2?

Comic Fiesta, Malaysia’s longest-running annual Animation, Comics and Games (ACG) convention is back this year at KL Convention Centre yesterday and today. We braved the human traffic to be part of the celebration of art & creativity as well as the ever popular ACG culture!

And what is an ACG convention without Cosplay, right? Check out some of the pics we managed to snap yesterday.

CF is packed...

While walking out from KL Convention Centre we saw a bunch of people wering yellow having a garden party at KLCC Park and enjoying the sunny day! :D

Note: The year 2011 marks the return of CF for the tenth edition, set to improve upon the event attendance of 15,000 last year. Comic Fiesta is voluntarily organised by an eclectic group of individuals who wish to share their passion with their peers. This event is strictly non-profit and all proceeds will be channeled into the organisation of next year’s iteration.

Celebrunner: Yeo Yann Yann 杨雁雁 @ Petaling Street Warriors 大英雄，小男人

Meet Yeo Yann Yann, a Malaysian born, Singapore-based actress, giving us her best running pose. :) Thank you Yann Yann!

This is the second time we met Yeo Yann Yann during a movie promo. The first time was in 2009, when she was in town to promote the movie by Yasmin Ahmad titled Muallaf. Read about it HERE.

She's back with her latest action/ comedy flick called Petaling Street Warriors!

She brings sexy back. ;). Yann Yann proudly shows off her gorgeous bare-back pink dress.

Unlike the sexyback photos here, Yann Yann main feature in the movie is her two "volcanoes". Yes, that's what she called them. Yann Yann had to stuff the two water bags into her clothes to create a busty image for her role in the movie, we were told. Heheh!

In the movie she plays Zhung Li Chun, the wife of a Hokkien mee seller (Mark Lee) who got herself entangled in deadly battles with Japanese spies and kung fu-fighting eunuchs while trying to protect her husband and some hidden royal treasures.

Petaling Street Warriors was set against the backdrop of Petaling Streets in 1908, way before it was taken over by foreigners selling fake goods. ;)

It promises tonnes of laughter and crazy fighting stunts!

Mark Lee who plays the main character, Shi Duyao, often utters a catchphrase "jitoot".

While "ji" means "chicken" in Mandarin, "toot" has no meaning. As he uses "jitoot" to express his upset moods! But to us, it sounds more like a bleeped out version of a swear word. LOL!

The handsome actor, Frederick Lee plays a powerful eunuch called Ma Fu Yi.

Petaling Street Warriors is directed by James Lee, who couldn't come to the press con because he was not in the country.

We enjoyed the movie very much. Hope you guys will go and watch it too!

First Look: Mizuno Wave Run 2012 Official Vest Design

It's RED! Very auspicious, eh? The run will be happening on 15 Jan 2012. A week before the Chinese New Year weekend. :D

So, it's a good event to train up and get your body fabulous-looking for CNY! Heheh!

We attended the press launch of the event at Mizuno outlet (Lot T225A, 3rd Floor. The Gardens Mid Valley City) just now.

FYI, Mizuno Wave Run was 1st initiated in December 2005 as a fun running event to compliment the many other existing high profile performance running event in the country with an objective to create a healthy lifestyle activity for all.

The 1st event in 2005 was held at Padang Merbuk Kuala Lumpur & attracted about 900+ runners. The following years have seen the event growing with the following participations 900 (2005), 1,300 (2006), 1,900 (2007), 2,800 (2008), 3,800 (2009) and 4,400 (2010). For the year 2012, Mizuno's target is 5,000 runners.

Mr Rustam Razaihan (President, Pacesetters Athletic Club Malaysia) promises a fun yet challenging route for the runner. He added, "Runners can expect a hill in the route because hill is a "trademark" of any Pacesetters events."

Dato’ Sieh Kok Chi (Secretary General, Olympic Council Malaysia) lamented about lack of great runners in our countries and hoped events like The Mizuno Wave Run could promote and produce better runners to represent the country in the future.

ALL Finishers in will receive a FINISHERS MEDAL & a FINISHERS CERTIFICATE with their name, timings & position printed on the certificate.

Both Starting & Finishing will be held at Stadium UPM & the entire 10km route will cover most part of the UPM campus site & runners will be running in a chartered route specially catered to give runners enjoyment & safety route.

After the race, light breakfast from the sponsors will be served to participants while waiting for the announcement of the final results of winners.
