HSN Malaysia: FITPOSSIBLE aims to get participants to burn 5,000,000 calories in 5 days



Kickstarting the Hari Sukan Negara, our home-grown running app, BiiB has partnered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to bring together runners from all walks of life – inculcating the spirit of running in the young ones, challenging the elite and inspiring others to lace up their running shoes for the HSN Malaysia FITPossible program.



The FITPossible program has a shared goal for Malaysians to come together and burn 5,000,000 calories in 5 days through outdoor walking, running, hiking and trekking for charity. The program is scheduled to start on 9 to 13 October 2018. Participation is free and everyone is required to download the BiiB the free app to their smartphones to track the kilometre covered. The GPS tracks the outdoor activities; running, walking, hiking and trekking and they are then accumulated for to the total distance and calories burn. The program also accept result from third party GPS tracked result via manual submission

The participants can decide the time and place to run as long as they are virtually connected. All participants are encouraged to join the Hari Sukan Negara 2018 on the final day (13 October 2018) at KL Sports City, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

Bhd, the developer of BiiB, Mr. Tan She Yong says “We are thrilled to partner with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to brings runners together to achieve a common goal of burning 5,000,000 calories or running 50,000 kilometers in 5 days for charity. It is a one-of-a-kind program that connects the whole country for a shared goal with a good cause. I feel this is a good opportunity for us to provide a platform for runners to not only raise money for a cause that they care about, but also to strive for a healthy lifestyle, and support the government’s initiatives to make Malaysia a sporting nation.”

Fund will be donated from a pool of fund raised from the corporate sponsors and public in respect to the distance logged by the participants via the BiiB app. Participants will be the heroes and heroines to "move" the fund from that sponsored fund pool to the chosen beneficiary with a preset ratio (e.g. RM0.50 per kilometer) to be announced before 9 October 2018. The two pre-selected beneficiaries are National Cancer Council or Majlis Kanser Nasional (MAKNA) and National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM).

Attractive incentives await ambitious and brave runners, with a unique opportunity to attend HSN Malaysia FITpossible closing luncheon together with the minister, sponsors and beneficiaries. The luncheon will be sponsored by Ministry of Youth and Sports after Hari Sukan Negara in which the exact date and time has yet to be confirmed and released by the ministry.
