Unleash Your Inner Explorer: Langkawi Nature Park & Kilim Geoforest Park Await!

Langkawi Nature Park is back, baby! After a pandemic pause, this island gem is reopening its doors in phases, with over 70% of the park accessible as of December 22nd, 2023. Get ready to reconnect with nature, encounter fascinating wildlife, and maybe even come face-to-face with a cackling hyena (don't worry, there's a safe distance involved!).

Langkawi Nature Park caters to all types of explorers. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the paths, or pick up the pace for a brisk walk and get your heart pumping.

Mangrove Magic Awaits

The star of the reopening show is the park's incredible 35-acre mangrove forest. Imagine strolling along an 800-meter elevated boardwalk, weaving through this unique ecosystem. Keep your eyes peeled – eagles soaring overhead, colorful kingfishers flitting through the trees, playful primates swinging in the branches, and even aquatic life might reveal themselves from the river below. It's a nature lover's paradise, all from the comfort of the secure boardwalk.

The nature park's elevated 800-meter mangrove boardwalk winds through the lush forest, offering a scenic 1.6-kilometer roundtrip journey. Starting near the animals, it ends at a private jetty along the Kilim River, providing a chance to spot wildlife and soak up the beauty of the mangroves.

Animal Encounters (with a Twist!)

Langkawi Nature Park isn't just about the wild; it's also about getting to know some fascinating creatures. While some animal sections are still under renovation, you can currently visit the hyena haven (laughter guaranteed!), a vibrant bird aviary, and a peaceful deerland.

More Than Just a Walk in the Park

Feeling energetic? Lace up your shoes and explore the park on foot! Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or a brisk power walk, the park's vastness offers something for everyone. Feeling a bit less energetic? No worries! Rent a bicycle and cruise along at your own pace. Annual pass holders can even bring their own bikes, making Langkawi Nature Park your go-to spot for some healthy exercise.

No adventure is complete without delicious food.

Foodie Alert!

Calling all Langkawi foodies! The park's reopening coincides with the arrival of a local legend – Scarborough Fish & Chips! Their third outlet on the island is now open within the park, serving up both their classic fish and chips and a delectable non-seafood menu. Refuel after your adventures with a delicious meal amidst the beauty of nature.
