adidas ORIGINALS Unveils New Store at Suria KLCC

Kuala Lumpur, 6 February 2025 - adidas today celebrates the opening of its newest Originals concept store at Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic premium shopping destination - Suria KLCC, offering an unparalleled shopping experience that reflects the brand’s commitment to creativity, style and community.

Officiating the grand opening was Thibault Durand, Senior Vice President, General Manager, Southeast Asia, adidas – “The adidas Suria KLCC store celebrates the brand’s iconic heritage, curated aesthetics and progressive vision, with the intention of elevating our consumers’ shopping experience.”

“Injecting creativity with a local flair, we partnered with Malaysian artist, Kenji Chai to bring our shared vision of the fashion future to this store - a futuristic yet effortlessly original piece of artwork as a centerpiece of the store design,” says Durand.

ARTWORK BY KENJI CHAI

The bespoke artwork by Kenji Chai features his distinctive bold interpretation of a female cyborg donning the iconic adidas Superstar styled as a cap, symbolising the forward-thinking Malaysians who dare to be her Original self. Kenji’s signature character, Chaigo, is reimagined as a pair of soaring birds, fearlessly pursuing their ambitions. These illustrations are fitted on the store pillar and footwear wall, infusing the space with vibrant local artistry.

Every element of the store’s design has been meticulously crafted to deliver a premium and personalised shopping journey. Featuring the latest range of apparel, footwear and accessories, the store provides customers with access to adidas’ most sought-after collections, including a dedicated area for Y-3 — an exclusive collection by adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, marking it as the second store in Malaysia to host the collection, after the adidas Brand Center Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

The adidas Originals Concept Store is located at LOT116/LC-101, Level 1, Suria KLCC. For a limited time only, customers who spend a minimum of RM 799 will receive an exclusive edition adidas Originals tee featuring Kenji Chai’s bespoke design and an aroma stone, while stocks last.
