Go! Nicol Go!
I had a blast watching Nicol David, our national squash player smashing her way to beat Holland’s Vanessa Atkinson (reigning champion and World No1.) to become the first Malaysian to win the Malaysian Women’s Open squash title at the National Squash Centre at Bukit Jalil last Saturday.
It was a nail biting – 3-9, 9-3, 1-9, 9-1, 9-4 win for Nicol. At times, my heart almost popped out watching the vicious exchange of smashes from the two girls.
Here are some pictures of Nicol I took when she was addressing a bunch of reporters after her championship. I had to sneak into the court for the pix but it was all worth it. (Whoa...check out her delts and biceps...)
