Media Release: New venue announcement for Men’s Health Women’s Health Night Run by AIA Vitality

Kuala Lumpur, 5 June 2017 – The Men’s Health Women’s Health (#MHWHNightRun) Night Run by AIA Vitality has announced a change to the location of its 22 July run, which promises more greenery, better terrain and fresh air.

The 2017 Men’s Health Women’s Health Night Run by AIA Vitality, which was originally scheduled to be held in Dataran Putrajaya, has now been moved to the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (or MAEPS). This change is in support of the Prime Minister’s Department’s planning to host the 60th Felda Settlers’ Day National Celebration in Putrajaya which falls on the same date.

In announcing the new location today, Patrick Brennan, Group CEO of Mongoose Publishing Sdn Bhd (the publisher of Men’s Health and Women’s Health in Malaysia), said MAEPS is an ideal alternative to Putrajaya as it offers runners a new and exciting experience with its idyllic and picturesque routes.

“While it is disappointing that we are unable to continue to host the run in Dataran Putrajaya this year,we are nevertheless excited with the new venue which we have carefully chosen together with our Title Sponsor, AIA Bhd. The venue is set a mere 15 kilometres away from the original flag-off point at Dataran Putrajaya and it is specifically selected to minimise any disruption to the travel arrangements of the some 20,000 runners who are expected to sign up.”

“We’d also like to thank the running community of the Men’s Health Women’s Health Night Run by AIA Vitality. Every year we are reminded of the resilience and winning resolution of the runners. Rest assured that we will continue to strive to build on our successes, and to improve the race for runners now and in the future,” he added.

There will be no change to the run date which falls on the evening of Saturday, 22 July 2017 or to the distances and categories available. Runners are advised to check the official website and the following social media platforms for more information including the running routes and the flag-off time as well as other new updates.

Registration of the Run closes on 22 June 2017.

Entry fees for the 5km, 12km and 21km courses are RM70, RM80 and RM90 respectively, while entry fees for the kids’ 700-metre and 3km run are set at RM30 and RM50 respectively. (Please note that the entry fee does not include the RM3.50 administration charge.)
