Ministry of Health and CSR participate in MediRun 2019 & Health Carnival

Health Minister Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and Central Sugars Refinery Sdn Bhd (CSR) Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Hishammudin Hasan ran with participants of the MediRun 2019. 

Kuala Selangor, 17 July 2019 -  Recently, Health Minister Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and Central Sugars Refinery Sdn Bhd (CSR) Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hishammudin Hasan participated in a 3km run in support of the MediRun 2019 & Health Carnival in Kuala Selangor.

Organized by St John Ambulans Malaysia kawasan Selangor Utara in collaboration with Ministry of Health and CSR as the main sponsor, MediRun 2019 & Health Carnival had attracted a crowd of more than 1,500 with more than 1,000 runners participating in the 10km and 3km MediRun.

CSR’s Better Brown is its latest healthier sugar products which has a Low Glycemic Index (GI); a healthier option to replace the traditional white sugar. 

MediRun 2019 & Health Carnival was organized to reach out to the local communities to create an awareness on the need to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The event featured key activities that looked to educate the visitors on the importance of incorporating physical activities into their daily routine and observing a more balanced diet.

Participants queuing at CSR’s booth to try the cotton candy made from CSR’s Better Brown Low G Sugar; the healthier sugar product which has Low Glycemic Index (GI), a healthier option in comparison to the traditional white sugar. 

CSR’s booth was a hit among visitors, offering free flow of hot tea and cotton candy using CSR’s Better Brown Low G Sugar; a new healthier sugar product which has Low Glycemic Index (GI).
