Celebrunner: Sarimah Ibrahim @ Reebok ZigTech Treadmill Challenge, 1-Utama Shopping Centre

Hahah! We love the goofy expression on Sarimah Ibrahim's face in the running pose! This award winning TV host was present at the launch of the Reebok ZigTech Treadmill Challenge at 1-Utama Shopping Centre at 5:00pm just now, joining other celebrities such as Sasha Bashir and Angel Wong, various sponsors and members of the media.

The Reebok ZIGTECH TREADMILL CHALLENGE is a 48 hours non-stop running on treadmill with the objective of recording the most amount of energy generated (DISTANCE X SPEED) by a group of runners..

It was launched at 5pm on Friday, 25th February at Ground Floor, New Wing, 1 Utama and concludes at 5pm on Sunday, 27th February 2011. FYI, the registration for this event is already closed due to overwhelming support from you guys. But you can always go to 1-Utama to cheer and support your fellow runners.

Heheh! Not out of breath yet! Still can do TV interview while running at minimum speed of 6.4km per hour. Very pro, eh?

An encouragement to promote a healthy lifestyle, the 3 days event invites runners who registered at hooHa.asia to run 15 minutes or more on treadmills. Runners who run at least 60 mins are rewarded with a special designed Reebok ZigTech Tee.

This event has attracted more than 300 runners to complete the 48 hours cycle.

One male runner and one female runner with the most energy generated at the challenge will walk away with a pair of Reebok ZigTech shoes, Reebok mechandise worth RM1,000 (Wow!) and other sponsored items from Fitness Concept, GNC and Red Bull! (Wow! Wow!)

After the launch, yours truly also get the chance to be part of this record breaking event. Trying out a pair of brand new Reebok ZigTech shoes.

It's kinda cool but we could only have them for 15 mins and then we had to say bye bye to these gorgeous pair of shoes. :(

Celebrunner: Joey G @ AIDSAware Exhibition Launch at Gardens, Kuala Lumpur

There were so many celebrities present at the launch for AIDSAware exhibition at The Gardens yesterday evening that we had a tough time deciding who to choose. So we grabbed the first one we could find to give us his or her best running pose. Heheh!

Meet Joey G, DJ, VJ & Model.

Joey G is one of the 42 local celebrities lending their hands faces for the AIDSAware campaign.

The AIDSAware exhibition hosted by the Gardens. It covers the concourse area, and features gorgeous prints of up to 5 feet in length of the photos taken by Simon Chin from Studio Pashe, and also montages of the public submissions received throughout the campaign which has been started last year.

AIDSAware advocates safer sex, being responsible for our own and other people's health, being accountable for our actions and not discriminating against people living with HIV. The campaign hopes to collect 13,000 "photo messages" by end December 2010, as 13,000 Malaysians have died to date from AIDS in Malaysia.

You can take your favourite celebrity home by submitting a bid on the portrait of your choice at the Sales desk. If you like, it can be personally signed too!

The AIDSAware project came about when PT Foundation and ruumzcauses collaborated with Studio Pashe, kyanite.tv, Orchan Consulting and CREATIVE JUICE/ SIL to make widespread awareness on HIV/ AIDS prevention & Nondiscrimination in Malaysia.

All fund raised will be donated to PT Foundation - a community based, voluntary non-profit making orgaization providing HIV/AIDS education, prevevntion, care and support programs, sexuality awareness and empowermenmt programs for vunerable community in Malaysia.

Energizer Night Race 2011 Media Launch & Press Conference

Hahah! This is my first time in my whole life ever to witness a launch of a race which registration already closed due to overwhelming response. You people have already maxed out the allocated 10,000 spots within 45 days, way before the deadline of March 1. (Insert applause here!)

Energizer Night Race 2011 is the first ever night running event to be held in the Sepang International Circuit! Unique Energizer LED headlights will be used by all runners in the race.

Well done, Energizer!

The launch was held in a simple ceremony in Laundry Bar at e@Curve, Damansara Mutiara this evening. The Energizer Night Race is one of Energizer's biggest annual events in Malaysia as well as countries like South Korea, Argentina, Philippines and South Africa.

The race categories include 42km, 21km, 11km (there is a typo in the slide below) and 5.5km. Why the magic number 5.5km? It is because the distance of one circuit loop in Sepang International Circuit is 5.5km. :)

If you go early to the site on the race day, you will be able to get a free health check-up. The people at Energizer really care for your well-beings. Heheh!

There are more male runners than female. We asked about the number breakdown for each category. The answer was 3,000 full marathon & half marathoners combined. The rest are 11 and 5.5km runners.

"Our aim is to continue to challenge the norm even raising our own standards, quality and performance everytime we present something to our consumers be it products, or marketing activities. It has become our passion to keep challenging and keep going," said Joshua Leong, the Brand Manager of Energizer Malaysia.

In collaboration with Astro, Energizer will be presenting a 90 min program after the event featuring the highlights of the unique race. This program will feature interviews with remarkable and inspiring people. You can nominate or recommend outstanding individuals with their testimony on Energizer Night Race Facebook fan page HERE.

So, on this coming 16 April 2011, the Sepang International Circuit track will be burning with shoe prints instead of tyre tracks...LOL!

Yay! We just left the Media Launch for Energizer Night Race 2011 at The Laundry Bar and we are proud to bring you the first look for the running vest! This year, the new vest sponsor is FILA.

The light grey one is for full marathon (42km) and the black one is for the rest of other categories. Note: The grey one actually look white because of my camera flash.

Celebrunner: Fouziah Gous @ "Ratu The Movie" Premiere, Cathay Cineplex, e@Curve

Fouziah told me me in a mock surprise that she has just spent her whole morning doing running poses in a photo shoot for Adidas when I approach her for a running pose. LOL!

This beautiful lass is one of the brand ambassadors for Adidas. I wonder when the running photos from Adidas are gonna come out? But, you get to see Fouziah "running" here FIRST! :)

We caught Fouziah at the premiere of Ratu The Movie yesterday evening at e@Curve.

Prior to Ratu The Movie, Fouziah Gous has starred in some movies like Skrip 7707, Rasukan Ablasa, Sifu & Tongga dan 2 Hati 1 Jiwa.

Ratu The Movie is directed by hit movie maker, Prof Madya A. Razak Mohaideen and produced by Wayang Studio International (WSI) and Lineclear Motion Pictures Sdn. Bhd.

Ratu The Movie tells a story of 10 beauty queens stranded in a deserted island. Strange things begin to happen when they venture into the jungle to look for food and shelter. One by one, the partipants start to disappear mysteriously.

Who is behind those strange disappearances? Heheh! We are not telling. :)

Ratu The Movie boast some interesting cameos by the industry heavyweights like Aminah Rhapor, Cico Harahap, Zaibo, Shaharuddin Thamby, Patrick Teoh, Yasmin Hani and ....Yusry Abd Halim.

Count them....How come only 9 beauty queens appeared at the premiere when there are supposed to be 10?

The 10 actresses who play the beauty queens in Ratu are all newcomers, hand-picked for the movie from auditions nationwide.

Oh yes....FYI, Fouziah Gous plays one of the missing ship crew in the movie. She is not one of the beauty queens even though she qualifies with a distinction. :)

To support Ratu The Movie, the girls have embarked on a nationwide tour in shopping malls, giving avid cinemagoers a chance to be up close and personal with the queens.

Ratu The Movie will be showing in cinemas starting 13 March 2011.
