As promised yesterday, please find the footages of Lee Hom from the press con and showcase. I am NOT posting the full song because others already posted the recording to YouTube and I don't want Sony Music to come after me. LOL!
Some 4,000 fans turned up for the showcase and autograph session in 1-Utama on Sunday evening.
I just got home from the PC and showcase of Lee Hom The 18 Martials Arts at One Utama. I decide to post some pics first while I get the video done.
ENJOY!
Lee Hom looks a bit thinner. I think he has lost weight due to his hectic schedule of having directing, acting in a movie and putting a record out at the same time.
Check out the funky shoes!
GM of Sony Music, Mr. Adrian Lim presenting a Malay martial art, SILAT uniform to Lee Hom.
Shhhh!....Group interview in session.
Spotted at the showcase, violin player Dennis Lau, Malaysian Idol - Danell Lee and Hou Ren (豪仁). Wonder who is that lucky chubby girl in pink who became envy of many. LOL!
Lee Hom only sang ONE song from his latest album. More time was spent for autograph session for the fans!
Thumbs up for Malaysia!
Wow...Look at that!
Gulp! I hope he has some martial art training for his hand. There were hundreds and could be thousands of fans waiting for him to sign his CD!
For fans out there, Lee Hom latest CD (18 Martial Arts (十八般武藝)is out in record stores and his directorial debut movie, Love In Disguise (恋爱通告) is currently showing in the local cinemas. What you guys and girls waiting for?
Malaysia Idol, Danell Lee smiling after meeting Lee Hom. :)
Autograph? I got mine too. :) Thank you Lee Hom & Sony Music!
Phua Chu Kang (PCK) is no stranger to Malaysian household. I caught the bad English speaking, moled and curly haired contractor in two locations yesterday - fan gathering at Ritz Carlton and the Gala Premiere at GSC, Pavilion.
PCK himself, Gurmit Singh together with his on-screen wife Rosie, Irene Ang and his new nemesis Lim Lau Pek, played by Singapore veteran actor Mr. Henry Thia together with director Mr. Boris Boo is in Kuala Lumpur from 19 to 21 August to promote "Phua Chu Kang The Movie", due out nationwide 26 August 2010.
However, PCK was not in costume yesterday. FYI, Gurmit Singh was hospitalised last week due to dengue fever. But being a real pro, he still come Malaysia. Due to his unstable condition, he did not appear in character during the promo tour.
That's OK. I think Gurmit Singh in person is more handsome than PCK in any gievn day lah! LOL!
Two teams were formed for a short competition. They were supposed to act out a scene from the movie. In this team we get a black Lim Lau Pek, a kid-sized PCK and an uncle as Rosie. What a combo in Team A, eh?
Team B: Leggy "Rosie" and her two men.
Judges busy picking the winner for the competition.
PCK version of American Idol judges???
The winner gets a bottle of half-consumed mineral water??? LOL!
Thumbs up for the winners. BTW, Team A won the competition.
One for the camera.
Autograph session. Everyone walked home with a signed PCK:The Movie poster. Cool!
The stars and the director, Boris Boo made a brief appearance on the red carpet for the Gala Premiere at GSC Pavilion. They have changed to a more glamourous wear for the evening.
Bubbly....Irene Ang who played PCK's wife, Rosie in the movie.
Yum Seng.....!
Here's a video footage of both the fans gathering and gala premiere. Watch out for the kiddy impersonation of Phua Chu Kang. It's hilarious!
Remember a proposal that I made to the Orange Man of HooHa about running on 10.10.10? Well, we do hear something is being planned for that "perfect 10" date but up to today, there's no formal announcement on the registration yet.
So I guess, our Singapore counterpart has beat them to it. Ta da...
If you want to run a perfect 10km on 10.10.10, you have an option to go down South for Mizuno Wave Run (Singapore), dubbed The Run of the Century!
Remember the exclusive interview I did with Mohan? Yes? He was the man who with 3 medals to go for his 100th marathon after completing the Standard Chartered KL Marahon then.
Well, he made it! That's 100 X 42km (or more because some of his events are actually ultramarathons)
This man accomplished his dream on 1 Aug when he crossed the finish line of the Brisbane Marathon.
To celebrate his amazing feat, we threw a surprise party for him at the start of River Jungle Marathon (which was his 101 marathon!) at Hulu Langat last Sunday.
Starting back at zero again. :D
Hey Mohan, CONGRATS again! You're such an inspiring marathon runner! Always going the distance to help your fellow runners to cross the 42km finish line. Honking! Whistling! And cheering to the finish!
Check out the video here. You can drop your congratulatory notes for Mohan in the comment section. I will make sure he reads it. Heheh!
Last month, yours truly was fortunate enough to be whisked to Penang on a private coach along with several other journalists to witness the launch of TAKASIMA F1 Racing Motorized Treadmill TK651 by local entertainer, Amy Mastura.
Just like the F1 Grand Prix, there are pretty leggy girls posing next to the cars, in this case treadmills. Heheh!
Amy Mastura, is appointed the ambassador for TAKASIMA, a homegrown brand of fitness equipment.
During the Q and A session, someone from the audience asked why Amy Mastura is chosen to be Takasima ambassador. The answer given by the rep from Takasima was...they found out that Amy already stepped into middle age and have two children but she still keeps her in shape perfectly (sic). Her image happens to hold the same view with their religion. (???)
This must be the reaction when Amy was called middle aged.
No doubt she is reaching the big 40 next year, but middle age is not a word I would use to describe this cute, vibrant and beautiful singer.
Of all the nice adjectives in the world out there, why do they have to use middle age? I think the script writer ought to be sacked. LOL!
But whatever it is I bet Amy is laughing her way to the bank. ;)
Amy Mastura's entertainment career began in the music industry when she emerged winner of the 1993 Asia Bagus talent show in Japan.
Her latest album, "HAPPY" is already in the market now! She penned 5 songs in her album on her own, namely "Lagu Happy","Ini Kasihku","Dingin Malam","Langkah Di hatimu" dan "Mencapai Bintang".
Run, Amy run...
Erm, Amy...You're supposed to face the other way...
Vroom! Vroom! :D
Apart from treadmills, Takasima is also popular with their massage chairs.
Trying out the brightly coloured treadmills. Which one is your favourite? Blue or red?
Here's some footage from the launch. We hope Amy doesn't run at home on the treadmill with heels like that. LOL!
Remember to watch until the end where Amy was given a highly hilarious killer pose lesson on the treadmill by celebrity blogger/ writer Joe Kidd.
Hi! It's Friday and it's running advertisement time!
I don't get money from posting this but I love to share those amusing running ads I found on YouTube. Hope you like them too. Some cool. Some awesome. Some just plain funny, like this one.
