The Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2012 will be having its first Zero to Hero training circuit on the 11th of March, 6.30am at Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur. The training circuit is designed to help runners prepare themsleves for the Full Marathon, Honda Half Marathon, and the 10km category.
The Zero to Hero training circuits will be headed by Mark Williams, the official trainer of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2012, as well as professional coaches from the Federal Territory Amateur Athlete Association (FTAAA). A total of ten training circuits will be held from March to June for runners, where each session includes a short briefing session and supervised runs for a pre-determined length of time.
Participants will gain useful information such as weekly training management, nutrition and hydration, stretching techniques, injury prevention and others. Admission for the running circuit is free but limited. Additionally, runners can also sign up for the Standard Chartered KL Marathon at these training circuits and enjoy early bird rates, payable by cash only.
The early bird rates will end on 20th May 2012, or earlier depending on the close of registration by the organizers.
