Brooks Half Marathon, organised by Taman Bukit Jalil Running Club made its debut in the local running scene in 2012. This year it returned for the second time with a bang (with firecrackers and lion dance) at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil this morning (3 March 2013). The runner participation has gone up to 12,000 this year.
We arrived at the stadium just in time to watch Mr Cheah from Brooks setting off the 5km runners.
Apart from the Brooks Half Marathon Finisher Tee, runners have something to cheer and talk about the cute mini finisher trophies.
So, everyone is a winner here. :)
The lion dance sure lifted up the festive atmosphere at Brooks Half Marathon.
Everybody wants to take picture with the lion. Chinese New Year mood lingers on...Heheh!

A jubilant Acis crossing the finish line. He later tweeted:
"Just completed a 21.79 km run - Alhamdulillah finished in one piece! Not bad for an injured old man!"
