5,000 Runners to Celebrate DYMM Sultan Selangor’s Silver Jubilee at Larian KITA 2026!

An estimated 5,000 runners are expected to gather in the Royal Town of Klang on Saturday, 10 October 2026, for Larian KITA Jubli Perak, held in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee marking 25 years of DYMM Sultan Selangor’s reign.

This edition of Larian KITA honours DYMM Sultan Selangor and DYMM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor through a programme that combines competitive running, family participation, and the rich heritage of the Royal Town of Klang. Runners from across Selangor and throughout Malaysia are invited to be part of the celebration.

The run will begin as early as 4:30 a.m. at Dataran Klang @ Padang Chetty and finish at Stadium Sultan Suleiman, Klang, with activities continuing until 12:00 noon.

Participants can choose from three categories: the 3KM Family Run, 10KM Competitive Run, and 21KM Half Marathon. The 10KM and 21KM categories will include men’s, women’s, veteran men’s, and veteran women’s divisions, with cash prizes available for winners. Participants will also have the opportunity to take home prizes through lucky draws held after the run.

A key highlight is the 3KM route, offering a relaxed and lively journey through the Royal Town of Klang as participants pass landmarks such as Galeri Diraja Sultan Abdul Aziz, Little India, Kelab Diraja Klang, Tugu Keris, and Gedung Raja Abdullah.

The celebration will extend beyond the run, with a variety of performances and family-friendly activities taking place along the route and at the event grounds.

Now in its fourth edition, Larian KITA continues to promote an active lifestyle, bring communities together, and create meaningful shared experiences through sport. This edition also highlights the heritage and identity of the Royal Town of Klang while strengthening the connection between the Royal Institution and the people.
