Kudos to Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) which has successfully organised its Malakoff 12km and 7km, Kuala Lumpur Run (Malakoff KL Run) early this morning. The race brought together a record of more than 3,200 runners for a day of excitement, competition as well as fun.
The race was flagged off by En. Zainal Abidin Jalil, Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff (pink shirt) and En. Rustam Zaihan, President, Pacesetters Athletic Club Malaysia.
Returning for the fifth consecutive year, the Malakoff KL Run is an initiative by Malakoff as part of its commitment to foster unity and an active lifestyle among urban dwellers.
The race started and ended at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort. The race took runners on a hilly and scenic route in the surrounding areas.
In line with its ‘Run with Family and Friends’ theme, the race welcomed runners of all ages and fitness levels from across Malaysia, including a sizeable number of the expatriate community competing in 6 categories for attractive prize vouchers worth RM18,000.
Obviously, some are already in the festive mood! (Insert sleigh bells sound effect here).
Eek! What is a leprechaun doing in the race?
We also bumped into AirAsia X CEO, En. Azran Osman Rani and his spouse at the finish line. Looking good there! Check out our previous exclusive interview with him HERE.
