This run is held in conjunction with the International Firefighters’ Day which is observed each year on 4th May. Firefighters dedicate their lives to the protection of life and property. Last Sunday they dedicate some of their time to run with us.(Insert applause here).
Not every run you get to do some warm-up exercises with these hunky firemen. Heheh!
We must thank Jabatan bomba & Penyelamat (Fire & Rescue Department) who let us climb up one of the two fire trucks to capture the flag off on camera.

The 10K runners were flagged off by Secretary-General of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government - YBhg. Datuk Arpah binti Abdul Razak.
Look at them go in colourful running T-shirts.
On its 11th year and running, the Larian Bersama Bomba is one of the cool races in Malaysia for you get run and mingle with your friendly local fire fighters.

International Firefighters’ Day (IFFD) is a time where we all can recognise and honour the sacrifices that firefighters make to ensure that our communities and environment are as safe as possible. It is also a day in which current and past firefighters can be thanked for their contributions.
