Snake Dancer's Charm & Belly Dancing Delights @ Sunway Pyramid

As promised here is the posting on the snake dancers and belly dancers @ Sunway Pyramid.

Amazing! Salute to the gutsy dancer who handled the snake so well.

Not only she need to dance to the beat, she had to make sure she was not strangled to death by the slithery reptile!

I have no problem with snakes but I can see alot of people in the crowd squirmed!

Snake wrestling?

I not sure now the snakes handled the jiggly and spinning movements. :) Luckily for her there was no snake vomit. Heheh!

This dancer moved like a snake! Ssssso ssssseductive!

I Dreamt of Jeannie. Doink! Doink!

The belly dancing show started around 3pm, an hour after the snake dance. Same troupe that performed the Arabian Folklore Dance. I noticed the similar dance sequences and songs that they used. Hmmmm....

Again, fantastic costumes! Beautiful props!

I have never seen male dancer doing belly dance before. Erm...those fatty boys in the belly dancing class in the gym doesn't count. LOL!

The two male belly dancers were as good as their female counterparts in term of hip-shaking and butt-jiggling!

This dancer was the diva of the show! The one who got spun around like a rag doll in the video I posted earlier! :) Amazing!

Here's the video.

I really enjoyed the show and have been playing the video repeatedly on my laptop. I think I'm obsessed with snake belly dancing! Hahah!

ENJOY!

What a spectacular show!....If you missed this, you still have another chance this coming weekend to watch it LIVE at Sunway Pyramid! It's free and you can go shopping after that!

Hahah! I wasn't paid to promote this. :) I really like Sunway Pyramid which is located a stone's throw away from my home. It has everything I need in a mall...Love the FREE wifi....

Arabian Folklore Dance @ Sunway Pyramid

After watching Mika Hakkinen smoked the Sunway Pyramid driveway, I got back into the mall for some air-con.

I was just in time to witness a spectacular dance performance held in conjunction with the Sunway Pyramid's 1001 Raya Delights promotion for the Hari Raya.

Note: Photos quality not so good as they are screen capture from video.

It was very captivating like the dancers were just stepped out from 1001 Nights Epic. Harems...camels...Arabian music...Sexy Middle Eastern allure...

There were lots of twirling actions!

There were lots of hip-shaking actions! Watch Pak Haji's specs got steamed up!

There were spinning actions as well. I posted an entry about the spinning earlier. Click HERE.

I must say I am very impressed with the dance! Great costumes! Beautiful dancers! Impressive booty-shaking choreography! :P

I realized that I have missed the snake dance and belly dancing earlier (2:00pm and 3:00pm). I went back to Pyramid on the next day for the show. This means I have more video to share!

Check out the Arabian Folklore video here.

Warning: For those fasting, don't let it "batal" your puasa, OK? LOL!

ENJOY!

Mika Häkkinen @ Sunway Pyramid (Johnnie Walker - Join The Pact Supercar Demo)

Yup! I got this....An autographed promo card by the man himself - Mika Häkkinen, a Finnish racing driver and two-time Formula One World Champion.

After having ayam penyet for lunch, Frank, Lionel, William and I waited patiently at the main entrance of Sunway Pyramid. Four eager fans with cameras...

The main driveway of Sunway Pyramid was converted to a mini F1 circuit for the event! A very mini F1 circuit. :)

The eager Mika fans...

The eager Johnnie Walker gurlz...

One eager Chermaine Poo...

Chermaine Poo is sticking a thumb up for Mika!

Mika finally arrived with his entourage at 2:30pm sharp! I like this guy...Very punctual. :)

Joining the pact by signing a pledge - Never Drink and Drive. Joining Mika were Daphne Iking, Chermaine Poo and Reshmonu....FYI, Reshmonu didn't get to ride with Mika like the two girls. Just there to "grace" the event perhaps? :P

Guess which one is Mika's signature?

Mika then got suited up for the demo drive. Five lucky passengers get to ride with him - Sunway big boss, a contest winner, Chermaine Poo, Daphne King and ESPN's Lisa Wong.

The Caparo T1 Supercar. Me think it looks like a Bat Mobile. Heheh!

It really smoked the place! I could have sworn smelling the burning rubber as the car zoomed by like deafening thunder!

Daphne Iking. Was she enticed to ride with Mika? LOL! Can't resist the pun!

I like the slogan on her T-shirt - Save Water Get Dirty...:P

Mika was having runny nose.

I hope it was not H1N1..Heheh! Joking!

After a short interview with the emcee, Mika approached the fans who were waiting behind the barricade.

Autograph session time! He was obliged to stamp his Dooberman mark on pouches, caps, magazines, posters and even T-shirt which was still on the man wearing it!

I was beaming when I received an autographed promo card! Thank you Mika!

More interviews....

FYI, Mika is also racing against Lewis Hamilton (another F1 driver) to get as many "drinkers" out there to join the pact.

It was a fun outing my running photography friends. Thanks Frank, Lionel and William!

Mika says, "NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE!"

Mika left his marks in Sunway Pyramid. :)

Now, the video....

I was just standing behind where Daphne Iking and Chermaine Poo seats. They're gorgeous, even from the back! :P

ENJOY!

JOIN THE PACT HERE.

He Spins Her Around Like A Record

Yup! Spinning like a record....literally in mid air!

I took the video last weekend during the Arabian folklore dance show at Sunway Pyramid in conjunction with their Middle Eastern themed 1001 Raya Delights promotion.

Then, I threw in a hit song from the 80's and some editing.

Caution: May cause nausea. Watch at your own risk! LOL!

ENJOY!

Coming soon – Snake charmers and belly dancers. (Insert excited squeal here)

Mika Häkkinen and “Join The Pact” Supercar

The car is here, but the man is not...Well, not yet!

On 12 September, Mika Häkkinen (who is the Johnnie Walker Global Responsible Drinking Ambassador) will officially launch the Never Drink And Drive campaign with a demonstration of the Join The Pact supercar on the roads of Sunway, Oasis Boulevard at 1.30pm.

As I was walking home from my gym yesterday night, I saw the supercar being transported in front of Sunway Pyramid Old Wing Main Entrance. So, naturally I reached for my camera.

Two chubby Mat Sallehs and a few local workers were seen transporting the supercar, which looks like a Bat Mobile to me! LOL!

Then out of nowhere, a chick climbed into the driver seat. Not sure who she was but I figured it must be the shortest ride in her life!

Check out the video...

ENJOY!

running with passion: RELOADED

Back in 2004 when I started this blog...Blogger didn't have photo upload service. So, I had to put my pictures to geocities.com, a popular FREE webhosting site back then and then link them back to my post.

However, GEOCITIES IS CLOSING ON OCTOBER 26, 2009 and everything will be no longer available. I am painstakingly re-uploading my old photos, one by one into blogger.

I hope to complete it within this month before the photos vanish into oblivion.

It was a trip back to the memory lane - reading my old post and looking at the old photos taken by my now kaput old Nikon Coolpix 3500 camera. Now I still do the same thing, albeit my camera is waterproof and I do include YouTube videos in my post whenever possible.

My first post with photos along the running route was about the Melaka Marathon in 2004. I did the half marathon. Incidentally, I just got back from Melaka for a short weekend trip. There have been vast changes to Melaka within these few years...I will post photos from my recent trip soon.

Until then, enjoy the re-upload post here.

Pacemakers Anniversary Run 2009 Video (Part 3 of 3)

You're Simply The Best, Better Than All The Rest...

This is the final part of the PAR 5 video series, basically giving you all a peep at the fast legged ladies and gentlemen in PAR 5. Top five teams received trophies and exclusive rights to brag. Heheh! The fastest team went to Klang Pacers 1.

Photo Courtesy of Tey Eng Tiong

Overall, the run was a success. Turn out was good despite the fasting month, thanks to the support from the Muslim die-hard runners!

There were unexpected problems like the "sudden" appearance of the DBKL truck on the track and also a runner who lost her way in the rain. We learned from these incidents and hope to improve in the future.

We, volunteers got the chance to become DBKL and "clean up" the left over nasi lemak, buns, water melon and bananas....

Enough rambling, please click play....

ENJOY!

I would love to receive feedback on the video and the run. What you want to see more or what you want to see less etc. Pls give you constructive feedback by clicking the comment button below. Thank you!

See you next year....PAR VI.

Pacemakers Anniversary Run 2009 Video (Part 2 of 3)

Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain....

Photo Courtesy of Tey Eng Tiong

This young girl (8 years old) braved the rain and finished her run in great spirit!

The rain was unexpected. Some of fast teams had finished their run. There were a few slower runners (last runner in the team) who got caught in the rain and soaked to the bone!

The runners who had completed their relay ran helter skelter to find shelter.....We, the volunteers - road marshalls, time keepers and photograhers had to stay put and carried out of duty under the umbrella..ella..ella....

Here's the second part video as promised.

Check out the fastest runner in the race, Murali from Klang pacers. He ran the 2.6km loop in 8 min 24sec..without shoes! (at 0:30)

...and also Kelvin Ng's singing in the rain! (at 2:53) LOL!

ENJOY!

Season finale, part 3 of 3 will be coming next. Please comeback tomorrow. :)
