What? AXN – Amazing Mall Challenge, Malaysia 2006
Where? 1-Utama Shopping Mall (1-U), extended to Berjaya Times Square (BTS)
When? 19 August 2006 (Saturday)
What at stake? One thousand ringgit…(Say it like Dr. Evil. Buahahahahahaaa!)
How many teams? 30 teams only (2 per team)
A clue by clue account on how we raced through checkpoints and how we almost in the verge of giving up but then completed the “mini Amazing Race” within qualifying time of 6 hours.

What is the race format?
The race duration will be approximately 4 - 5 hours. Cut-off time is 6 hours. Participants will be presented with tasks (challenges) and questions at each checkpoint.
The Teams can choose to go to checkpoints 1 to 3 indicated in their passports in any random order, checkpoint 4 onwards MUST be completed in sequence, unless otherwise stated.
Teams MUST race together at all times and complete tasks together, unless otherwise stated in the race. The team that finishes in the fastest time after completion of all the challenges and tests shall win the grand prize.
Woke up still groggy from INXS concert yesterday. Met up with Amy at 1-U after having lunch at Sri Melaka – Nasi Lemak and Cendol. We had to surrender our wallets, mobile phones and other electronic devices, my camera included. (Boo hoo!) We were given only one phone which SIM card and battery had been removed and sealed in a plastic bag. Break for emergency use only.
We were given a tube of Brylcreem Xtreme Gel - to "AXN-up" our hair.
