Media Release: Cool Running Around Melbourne

As Melbourne’s weather cools down, its running calendar heats up!

Marathon enthusiasts, mark your calendars for May 16 - 17 as the Great Ocean Road becomes the thrilling backdrop for Australia’s most visually stunning run, the Great Ocean Road International Marathon!

The marathon travels from Lorne to Apollo Bay along one of Australia’s most breathtaking coastlines, making the event popular with entrants from overseas.

Malaysia even gets a special mention on their website so find out more at http://www.greatoceanroadmarathon.com.au.

For those who want to ease into the run, get ready to take over Melbourne as the city’s largest running event comes back for the eighth year in 26 July 2015! Run Melbourne is organised by The Age Australia and is one of Melbourne’s most notable fund raising charity runs.

Courses offered are the 3km Kids Run, Team Up 5km run, 10km run or the Brooks Half-Marathon 21.1km run, and span over iconic Melbourne landmarks such as Federation Square, the Shrine or Remembrance and the Melbourne Cricket Ground, so you can enjoy the sights while contributing to the charity of your choice.

Live bands and local DJ’s situated along sections of the course will keep your adrenaline and feet pumping as Run Melbourne combines music with exercise in a community event like no other.
