Why?
To raise money for the SPCA in particular to spay and neuter strays to reduce the population of unwanted / stray animals.
To create awareness of "Animal Day" with the aim of getting the programme endorsed as an annual state project.
To reduce the number of stray dogs which will benefit tourism and public safety.

Runwitme Says: "Together we can create a stray free Penang" is the tagline for the run. There will be dance, eerobics, live music entertainment too. All registered participants will be fed and watered..... We are not sure if you could bring your four-legged friends to the race though. Please contact the organisers.
