Today, 1 December is World AIDS Day.
World AIDS Day is a global event where the world takes time to recognise the issues relating to HIV/AIDS and remind ourselves how we can all do our part to combat HIV/AIDS.
This year again PT Foundation organised The Red Carnival at Sungei Wang Plaza over the weekend of November 28 and 29, 2009 in conjunction with the World AIDS Day.
Over the two days 80 performers had entertained the crowds while over 200 volunteers had distributed HIV information, red ribbons and other merchandise to members of the general public.
I managed to stopby Sg Wang Plaza to hear my favourite local singer performing at the Red Carnival.
Check out a soaring (pun intended) rendition of R. Kelly's I Believe I Can Fly by Dayang Nurfaizah.
ENJOY!
Dayang Nurfaizah has been appointed a Red Ribbon Support Celebrity by the Malaysian Aids Council to spread the awareness of HIV and to help stop the stigma and discrimination.
Her new single called Sayang (a duet with Marcell) is on rotation in many local radio stations now.
