Press Release: adidas adiZero Primeknit

All You Need, Nothing More

Kuala Lumpur, 21st March 2013 – adidas revealed the new adiZero Primeknit, its first one-piece upper Performance running shoe, using a new seamless engineering technology, first featured on the adidas athletes competing in the London Olympic Games.

Using the latest design tools with a new seamless engineering technology, adidas has created a first-of-its-kind running shoe. While traditional sports shoes are constructed from several different pieces, this breakthrough method digitally knits the entire upper in just one. Knitting fused yarn fine-tunes the exact amount of flexibility and support needed in every part of the shoe. There is no lining or reinforcements – the strength comes from the fused yarn, digitally-knitted in distinct grid patterns to provide ventilation.

This all means lightweight comfort that wraps seamlessly around your foot, whilst fewer materials produce less waste. James Carnes, Head of Design for Sport Performance at adidas, said, “We are constantly innovating to bring superior performance products to the greatest athletes in the world. In designing the adizero Primeknit, our goal was to completely rethink how footwear is engineered, with a keen eye on sustainable construction. This revolutionary design will forever change the way we engineer shoes, combining both premium innovation and maximum performance benefits.”

Carnes continued, “Three years in the making, the adizero Primeknit harnesses groundbreaking technology we’ve perfected to introduce here in London at the Olympic Games. The Olympics are the biggest stage in the world for sports innovation for the best athletes and we’re proud to be front and center to debut this incredible technology in the market.”

The new adiZero Primeknit retails at RM599 and is now available only at the adidas Sports Perfomance Concept Stores Suria KLCC (Level 3) while stocks last.

Press Release: ntv7 Feel Good Run 2013

TURNING 15 HAS NEVER FELT THIS GOOD!

If we have to choose between engaging ourselves with a physical activity and going straight home for dinner and lie on the couch to watch our favourite shows after work, undoubtedly we would opt for the latter wouldn’t we? It is this kind of lifestyle that has inherently been instilled in most Malaysians that ntv7 is trying to break. According to statistics released by the National Health and Morbidity Surveys, in 2011 alone, 15.1% of Malaysians aged 18 and above were suffering from obesity. To date, a staggering 75% of Malaysians do not include any exercise in their daily routine. Which is why as part of the station’s effort in giving back to the community, ntv7 is hopeful that its annual charity fun run can help change this unhealthy habit.

To commemorate the station’s big 15th year anniversary, the Feel Good Run this year will be more exciting than ever. This year, ntv7 has decided to keep its previous year’s slogan, ‘Do Good Feel Good’ as the station feels that the act of benevolence goes a long way and until that mission is accomplished with maximum satisfaction, the slogan remains a motivation factor for them to share the love.

“We want our viewers to feel good literally, and connect with our shows and events. Event tie-ins such as the Feel Good Run, is a good platform to engage with our viewers while providing them a means to do good to the rest of the community as well,” says the Group General Manager of ntv7 & 8TV, Airin Zainul.

“As this is our 15th year anniversary, we want to celebrate it with a bang. What better way to do that than to give back to the community, have our viewers engage with us while encouraging them to do a good deed, and shout about the refreshed direction that we’re headed to all through one event,” Airin adds.

“Starting this year, we are going to focus on our program contents to ensure that they cater to the modern urban progressive adults (MUPAs) with an urban mindset and taste,” she explains further.
Feel Good Run 2013 will be held on 7 July, from 6.00am until 10.30am. The starting point will be at Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama, while the finishing line is at Central Park, One Utama. A variety of activities will be carried out at Central Park where runners and their families are encouraged to join in the fun.

In-conjunction with the channel’s 15th anniversary, the committee has decided on a special “15KM category” this year, while giving a chance for runners to take on a longer distance route than its previous years. Runners are allowed to pick their preferred category. They are;

1) 15KM Feel Good Run
For age 16 and above

2) 7KM Feel Good Run
For age 13 and above

3) 2.3KM Bananana! Run
For age 7 – 12 only
Viewers or members of the public who wish to register for the run may do so from 1 April until 31 May 2013 or upon reaching 5,000 runners, whichever comes first. They may do it online by logging onto www.ntv7.com.my/feelgoodrun, or alternatively they may register manually at Federal Territory Amateur Athletic Association (FTAAA) and at the Twenty First Century Sports (M) Sdn Bhd. The fee for 15KM run is RM35, for 7KM is also RM35 and RM15 for 2.3KM.

This year, Feel Good Run will be introducing the convenience of “bulk registration” for runners who wish to register in a group with a maximum of 10 individuals for the 15KM or 7KM categories. The public can also email in their queries to “Hooha! Asia” at enquiry@hooha.asia for more information on how to register.

There is also an exclusive corporate package that is established to encourage corporations to participate in the Feel Good Run event, and nominate their staff to run in a team. The minimum fee for a team with maximum of 15 runners is RM1,000. Interested companies can email in their queries to feelgoodrun@ntv7.com.my.

A runner’s Running Kit will be provided to all, comprising a running t-shirt, a message bib and a runner’s guide. Runners who complete their run will also be given a finisher memento and participation certificate at the end of the run.

Meanwhile, the station will dedicate the whole month of May for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives with numerous visitations and other beneficial activities will be conducted with our beneficiaries. The beneficiaries for this year’s Feel Good Run are; Hospis Malaysia, Malaysian Rare Disorders Society, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Tengku Budriah and SPCA. All proceeds from the run, including the corporate package, will be channeled to the four beneficiaries.

Last year, the event managed to raise a total of RM142,800 with over 5,000 registered runners and a celebrity participation of more than 80, making it the largest run held in Bandar Utama. The full list of participating celebrities this year will be revealed at a later date. Runners who prefer to run in costumes are more than welcomed, just like its previous years.

For more information on Feel Good Run 2013, log onto www.ntv7.com.my/feelgoodrun or follow the ntv7 Facebook (www.facebook.com/ntv7.feelgood) and Twitter (ntv7). The Twitter community nationwide is welcomed to use two special hashtags initiated by ntv7 – #ntv7fgr and #dogoodfeelgood – in all their messages which discuss about the Feel Good Run.
