Celebrunner: Lee Chong Wei @ Grand Launch of Kaspersky Security Campaign

OK. OK. He didn't actually did a running pose...but walking is close enough. LOL! I was very close of getting him to pose as if he was running. In fact I did asked him to pose for me but he was whisked away by to do an interview with some TV station before he could do that. :(

Actually, I didn't plan to go for this launch. I didn't even know that it was going to be a launch at Plaza Low Yat. I was there to buy an adaptor my laptop. The old one "exploded" on me when I connected it to a power point at Wendy's. Grrr....

I saw a bunch of screaming young people at the entrance of Low Yat Plaza. So my paparazzi instinct told me to take out my camera to get ready for the action.

Initially I thought there must be some HK superstar making an appearance at the mall. But I was shocked to see badminton player, Lee Chong Wei (LCW) face plastered on the placards.

Do you see a guy holding a placard that says "LCW - I "heart" you"? I think that's abit over the top! LOL!

For those uninitiated, Datuk Lee Chong Wei is the World's No. 1 Badminton Player. Lee Chong Wei played one of his best matches this season and beat his long time nemesis, Lin Dan of China to lift the Japan Open title in Tokyo recently.

The Kaspersky girls patiently waiting for LCW...

Is LCW checking out the Kaspersky girl on the right? ;)

The launch gambit was military themed. The dancers and the VIPs, including LCW were dressed in army uniform. I guess this is in line with the protection and security that Kaspersky is offering in their antivirus and internet security products.

Lee Chong Wei is Kaspersky brand ambassador specific for Malaysia, while kungfu actor, Jackie Chan takes the Asian's role. Jackie Chan was not present. Otherwise you see lots of aunties flocking the mall that afternoon. LOL!

Plaza Low Yat is also protected by Kaspersky.

Q & A session with media.

Our national hero...

There was an autograph signing session for those who had purchased the Kaspersky products. I didn't stay on because I had to rush to Shangri-la to meet jazz singer/ guitarist, George Benson at 4:00pm.

What do you think LCW in an army uniform?

Ada gaya tak?

Celebrunner: Diana Danielle @ Penyembuh Rindu Magika Festival Filem Malaysia FFM ke-23

Initially she was quite apprehensive to "run" for me.

I could understand. The dress by Rizman Ruzaini is tight and quite restrictive. She might just topple over doing the running pose but she did it nonetheless...Thanks Diana.

She looks stunning, eh?

These pics were taken at Rafflesia Pearl Centre, who was the sponsor for (what else?), pearls for Festival Filem Malaysia FFM 23.

Diana Danielle plays Ayu in Magika, a girl drawn into the world of Magika to rescue her little brother. There she meets famous Malay heroes and myths like Badang, Dragon of Tasik Chini, Nenek Kebayan, Puteri Bunian, Pak Pandir, Hang Tuah and the Warriors of Melaka, Puteri Gunung Ledang, Bawang Putih and a lot more colourful characters.

Missing a button.

At Magika film screening and forum @ FINAS.

She has the girl next door look. No pearls. No glammed up hair. No heavy make-up. Just sweet and all natural beauty.

With Edry Halim, best new director FFM-23. Magika also won the best movie, best costume (Dee Hasnan), best original score (Edry Abdul Halim), best child actor (Fimie Don), best original theme (Edry Abdul Halim) and best art direction (Johan Lucas and Anuar Paharudin) in FFM-23.

Back to glam at the award night of FFM-23 on 24 Oct 2010.

Show time at FFM-23. Penyembuh Rindu, a duet with Mawi. A love song taken from the FFM-23 Best Film, Magika.

Celebrunner: Syamsul Yusof @ Festival Filem Malaysia FFM ke-23

OK. You probably seen tonnes of his pictures walking down the red carpet, posing with his awards and doing the interviews after his win; you know the boring type. LOL! I bet you have not seen him in these running poses.

So, we asked to pose as if the award is a baton in a race. Heheh!

Thank you Syamsul for being such a sport.

His movie, "Evolusi KL Drift 2" won two awards yesterday evening at the 23rd Malaysia Film Festival (FFM 23) - Best Director (that's him) and Best Editing.

He was obviously overcame by emotions during his acceptance speech for winning the Best Director award.

The girls should dig this...LOL! The last time we saw a grown man cry in public was during one Fahrin Ahmad press conference. That Bung Mokthar's crocodile tears doesn't count. Heheh!

Daddy, Dato' Yusof Haslam must be very proud.

CONGRATULATIONS, Syamsul!

A talented young man indeed. Apart from starring and directing in his own movies, he also sings/ raps.

He performed as the song, "Evolusi KL Drift" as member of BurnSoul feat. Ayu and Radi OAG at the award show.

At the red carpet - the future is so bright, he gotta wear shades.

His suit was sponsored by Lord's Tailor.

The first time I saw him was during the press con for the FFM 23 at Lord's Tailor, Bangsar.

With other Malaysian actors, all dressed for the press.

Check out the video of Lord's Tailor fitting HERE.

Next, we have FFM-23 best actress, Lisa Surihani doing the running for us.

Really? You have to comeback to find out. :)

Celebrunner: Fizz Fairuz Birthday Celebration @ Red Box, The Gardens

Our Celebrunner this time is also a birthday boy. Actor Fizz Fairuz is born on 22 October 1979.

Celebrating his 31st Birthday with his family members and fan club at Red Box Karaoke, The Gardens.

Cute hat, eh?

This is Fizz, cutting his first cake...

But unknown to him, there was even a bigger cake waiting for him, presented to him by his mother. Fizz was surprised by his mom's appearance because she told him that she was not coming for the bash because she wanted to balik kampung.

Hahah...Kena by own mother! :)

Some celeb friends....

Fizz, footballer Zaquan dan actress Ayu Raudhah

Mummy's boy.

Family portrait. Notice the theme - green and white. Except for Fizz though...LOL!

Wishing Fizz Fairuz a blessed birthday and many happy returns.

Here's some clips I managed to catch on video. Sorry, the lighting was really poor in the karaoke. It's almost shooting in a cave! LOL!

ENJOY!

I wonder where was Fizz's beau, Almy Nadia yesterday? Hmmm?
