Run FASTER with F.A.S.T. training by Run Fast Academy (RFA)

Run Fast Academy (RFA) is an academy that provides training programs for runners both virtually and physically with the aim to help runners improve and stay free of injury. RFA was formed to be a leader in fitness and sports, integrating technology into training. As of now, RFA is focused on the area of running based on four pillars of F.A.S.T (Focus, Alignment, Strength & Tactical Training)

RFA has conducted over 500 offline training programs since its establishment in 2016 by Co-Founder Coach Alvin Lai and Head Coach Sam Seow. During the pandemic they did not stop conducting trainings, moving their physically session to online training and conducted over 100 online zoom sessions. Asia. They have conducted trainings in a few Asian countries including Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, and Japan. In total, 5,000 runners have benefited from their training which focuses on these 4 pillars; F.A.S.T (Focus, Alignment, Strength & Tactical Training).

In lieu of the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2021 VR, RFA is offering training plans for participants older than 18-year-olds. Run Fast Academy, as the official training provider for this event, offers two categories or plans, Plan A for 5km and 10km, this is for short distance runners and Plan B is catered for half and full marathon long-distance runners.

Co-Founder and the Head Coach of Run Fast Academy, Sam Seow said, “We are committed to sharing our knowledge. The key is to help runners understand what causes injury and how to reduce injury, training zones, nutrition, and lastly the mental preparation. For the runners who sign up for our KLSCM 2021 VR training plans, we have 7 experience RFA All Star Coaches ready to support and journey with you for the next 5 weeks.

At RFA, they provide insights into your technique when you run, maximum heart rate zone tests, and resistance training. In this age of technology, they are also one of the first few to provide analysis of your workout through virtual coaching and creating a customized training programme.


Co-Founder Coach Alvin Lai said, “The KLSCM 2021 VR training plans will be conducted online 5 session and 1 offline session at the designated parks identified for the training. We are conducting it in 3 languages, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and English. The first plan is priced at RM59 (Plan A) for runners under the 5km and 10km category, and the second plan is priced at RM69 (Plan B) for runners under the 21km and 42km category. The end objective is to ensure runners have fun, have a healthy lifestyle, and build resilience.
