Urban Oasis Awaits: LLOYD'S INN Opens its Doors in Kuala Lumpur

Calling all urban lovers and city explorers! Brace yourselves for a unique staycation experience as the renowned boutique hospitality brand, Lloyd's Inn, unveils its third property (after Singapore and Bali) in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Experience the best of both worlds at Lloyd's Inn, a boutique hotel that seamlessly blends nature's tranquility with urban convenience.  Reconnect amidst lush greenery in your room, then step outside to explore the city's vibrant offerings, all within easy reach.

Opening its doors on April 1st, 2024, Lloyd's Inn Kuala Lumpur promises to be a slice of green haven amidst the urban concrete jungle. Drawing inspiration from the raw beauty of nature, this brand new high-rise hotel (the first of its kind for Lloyd's Inn) brings the concept of a "Garden Oasis" to the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

The reception @ 5th Floor

Imagine this: stepping into your meticulously designed room and instantly feeling transported to a tranquil "Balinese" retreat. Each space is an invitation to immerse yourself in lush greenery and serenity, a stark contrast to the bustling city below.

The Standard Room prioritizes clean lines and essential comforts, catering to the needs of today's traveler.  Unwind and recharge with a restful stay, all while taking in stunning city views.

The bathroom features a unique naturally ventilated concept, incorporating a beautiful tree for a touch of nature.

One of the sustainable practices by Llyod's Inn - replacing single-use toiletries bottles with pump dispensers.

Relax in your room with a hot beverage courtesy of the in-room tea & coffee facilities.

Slippers await you in your room – perfect for relaxing after a long day! Please note, they are intended for in-room use only.

With 110 rooms ranging from cozy 17sqm studios to spacious 50sqm havens, Lloyd's Inn Kuala Lumpur caters to a variety of travelers. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a solo escape, there's a perfect room waiting to envelop you in its calming embrace.

A Llyod's Inn unique touch - guests are presented with chocolate and cookies upon check-in.

Thinking about staying at Lloyd's Inn KL? Here's what I experienced, both the highlights and a few things to keep in mind. Note: I stayed in the Standard Room.

Pros:

The Exchange TRX, a haven for retail therapy, is just steps away from Lloyd's Inn

Fantastic Location: Explorers rejoice! Lloyd's Inn boasts a prime location for venturing out and experiencing Kuala Lumpur. You'll find yourself right next to the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) MRT station and The Exchange TRX Shopping Mall, with Bukit Bintang and the Imbi area within comfortable walking distance.

A Feast for the Eyes: Nature lovers and design enthusiasts will adore Lloyd's Inn's aesthetic. The clean lines, minimalist touches, and pops of industrial chic beautifully complement the integrated greenery, creating a refreshing and modern ambiance.

The Social Pod @ 15th Floor

Work and Relax in Style: If your room feels a touch compact, head to the top floor's common area, aptly named "The Social Pod." This shared space provides a stylish and comfortable environment to catch up on work or simply relax.

The Opeum Bistro

Dine In, Dine Well: No need to venture far for delicious meals. Opeum Bistro, the hotel's in-house dining concept, offers a delightful selection prepared with fresh. The dining area also extends to the 15th floor lounge areas, where guests can order in and catch up on work in their flexible spaces and meeting pods.

Cons:

The hotel boasts a convenient location, with the caveat of ongoing construction nearby. Ear plugs are available upon request.

Construction Zone Symphony: Light sleepers, be warned! There's ongoing construction nearby, and the noise can start as early as 8 am and will last till late evening. If you prioritize tranquility during your stay, earplugs or noise-canceling headphones might be helpful companions for your afternoon nap. However, for those who plan to be out and about exploring the city, this shouldn't be a major concern.

No chair in the Standard Room. You have to sit beside the mattress and use the narrow "table" if you decide to work in the room.

Compact Comfort: While the rooms are beautifully designed, some guests find the workspaces a little limited. Desks and chairs aren't standard in every room. But worry not, The Social Pod on the top floor offers a dedicated co-working space for those who need to get down to business.

Dipping pool near the reception area.

The Petite Plunge: The pool is undeniably photogenic, adding to the hotel's aesthetic charm. However, it's more suited for a refreshing dip than an invigorating swim. Additionally, privacy might be a consideration as the pool is located near the reception area.

Overall, Lloyd's Inn Kuala Lumpur offers a unique blend of urban convenience, tranquil vibes, and stylish design. Weigh the pros and cons to see if it's your perfect urban oasis!
