Walk for Cure 2014: Stepping Up to Help Underprivileged Children with Type 1 Diabetes



What? Walk for Cure 2014

When? 16 November 2014 (Sunday) 7.00am

Where? Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur

Who? Organised by Columbia Asia, The Hot Shoe Show & Co., and Diabetes Malaysia (formerly known as Persatuan Diabetes Malaysia)

Why? Walk for Cure is a global charity initiative to raise awareness and funds for diabetes, and this will be the 3rd year running that it is held in Malaysia. All proceeds from the walk will go towards helping underprivileged children who have Type 1 Diabetes.

How far? 5km

How much? RM 20 (inclusive of a goodie bag, and a T-shirt)

Note: This year's Walk for Cure platform will take on the nature of a fun walk, with a zumba workout by some of the best fitness trainers in Malaysia and a limbo rock challenge, as well as more fun activities for participants which will include a friendly match with the Malaysian Blind Football team who will be there to support the cause, as well as the Malaysian Para-Badminton team.
