Pulau Tuba, also known as "Mi Udang Island," lives up to its name! This hidden gem off Langkawi is a haven for fresh, delicious seafood, and foodies won't be disappointed.

How to get to Pulau Tuba?  You can take a public ferry operated by Bestuba to Pulau Tuba. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes to Jeti Dato' Syed Omar in Pulau Tuba. The ferry ticket costs RM5 per person (each way). Frequency: Daily departures, but timings can vary, so it's best to check in advance.

Prawn Noodles Take the Crown

The undisputed king of Pulau Tuba's cuisine is mi udang, a flavorful Malaysian dish featuring yellow egg noodles in a rich spicy prawn broth overflowing with succulent prawns. Craving something different? No problem! Swap the prawns for other fresh catches like squid or crab.

Kak Hasnah Mi Udang: Enjoy your mi udang with a stunning view! This restaurant sits on the jetty at Selat Lubuk Chempedak, overlooking the beautiful Selat Tuba and the colorful Selat Tuba Bridge. Hasnah Melur, affectionately known as Kak Nah, has been delighting taste buds with her own mi udang recipes here, in Pulau Tuba.

Kak Nah's restaurant offers a delightful ambiance, with its location on top of a jetty providing beautiful water views.

Warung Pokok Asam: Live by the name - "tamarind tree stall" in Malay. This small stall, true to its name, is located near a tamarind tree. While famous for their mi udang, they also offer a variety of other fried seafood dishes.
