More Than Just Retail: How AEON is Transforming Its Malls

One of the most exciting aspects is the creation of Stay Active Zones. You'll find clear walking routes, dedicated recreational areas, and even serene "healing spaces" designed to support mental well-being. These zones aren't just for show.
The recent AEON Mall Walking Challenge, which encouraged people to get more active, has been officially recognized by the Malaysian Book of Records (MBOR). The campaign earned the prestigious title for the "Most Steps Accumulated in a Shopping Centre Walking Campaign."
The incredible turnout of 1,161 participants, who collectively logged a remarkable 17.9 million steps, highlights a growing public desire for healthier, more active lifestyles. AEON Malls across the country helped turn everyday mall visits into a nationwide health movement, making it easier than ever for the public to get moving.

The focus on wellness extends to what you eat. AEON is making a conscious effort to promote Healthy & Safe Food. This includes highlighting products with the Healthier Choice Logo (HCL) and collaborating with BeSS-certified food vendors. You’ll notice fruits and vegetables placed prominently at mall entrances, and healthier beverage options are being showcased throughout. AEON is also calling on its food and beverage partners to join the movement by offering more nutritious choices for visitors.
AEON is also taking a firm stance on clean air by ensuring a Smoke-Free Environment. Under the strict enforcement of Act 852, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within the malls and even around them. To maintain clean air, smokers must be at least three meters away from the outermost roof of the mall.
