Photo: Selangor Water Festival 2011 @ Bagan Lalang/ Sepang Gold Coast

After the Bagan Lalang Beach Run flag off, all of us head to the Golden Palm Tree Sea Villa and Spa Resort Hotel at Sepoi-sepoi Cafe for breakfast and then followed by a short tour of this luxurious resort.

The Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas and Spa Resort Hotel comprises 393 units of sea villas built on stilts over the sea and that takes the shape of a palm tree. Amazing!

Check out the awesomeness of Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas and Spa Resort Hotel in the video below:

We headed back to the festival ground after breakfast for the opening ceremony of the Selangor Water Festival.

Yay! It's finally officiated! Selangor Water Festival is a two-day event held at the waterfront of Bagan Lalang Beach. Highlights include a night concert, lucky draw, fishing competition, sand castle building competition, singing contest and beach telematch. A bazaar was also set up to cater for shopaholics and bargain hunters.

Group photo with the boy scouts.

Ironically, there were no in the water activities during the water festival. All the activities were held on land. Personally, I think "Selangor Beach Festival" is a better name for the event. :)

The SWF concert were helmed by these rising stars.

Mohd - Mentor 4 champion. (Ziana Zain's protege)

Rini - AF7 contestant

Nubhan

Nubhan got a bunch of teenyboppers to accompany him for Oh! Juwita.

The concert venue was packed and I think everyone that turned up enjoyed him/ herself despite the drizzle.

This lucky fler (blue shirt) walked home with the grand prize of the lucky draw - a 2D 1N stay at the luxurious, Golden Palm Tree Sea Villa and Spa Resort Hotel. Tahniah!

We did check out the sand castle building competition on the next morning.

Notice that these guys are building a replica of the Golden Palm Tree Sea Villa and Spa Resort Hotel, with the resort in the background. :)

The competition was slightly delayed due to rain. But the rain made the sand easier to be sculpted.

We didn't stay on to see who was the winner. We spent the second day reading by the beach and then taking a short nap before we headed back to Kuala Lumpur.

Jumping for joy for Selangor Water Festival. :)

We enjoyed our two days stay at Bagan Lalang with tweet-crazy bunch of bloggers and tweeps. We are looking forward for the next Tourism Selangor event soon. Heheh! We heard it will be involving food! (Insert dripping saliva here!)

Acknowledgments: Thanks again to Tourism Selangor especially Dian and En Fazli for the invitation to experience the Selangor Water Festival and Bagan Lalang Beach Run.
